  1. What Is Australian Radio School

Australian Radio School has been established in Adelaide for over 10 years. In that time, over 100 people have graduated to jobs in radio and TV all over Australia.

In April 2010 Sean Craig Murphy from Mix102.3 and Mel Greig- Channel 7 took over the radio school from Adelaide radio legend David Day. (We believe blackmail was involved)

What's a Mel Greig and Sean Craig Murphy?

Most of the people who work in radio are Gen Y and Gen X. So are Sean and Mel. They’re not crusty old radio wannabes who wear cardigans, smoke pipes and believe that you have to have a deep voice to work on the wireless. Sean and Mel work in radio now so they know what radio bosses are looking for now. They’re relevant. They know radio these days isn’t just about being as good as everyone else. It’s being different to everyone else.

Could I be a radio star?

Can you tell a good story or a funny joke?

Do you look at life differently?

Can make people laugh or cry or shout or think?

If you answered YES to any of those questions radio could be the career for you.

You don’t need a deep voice or an encyclopaedic knowledge of music and it doesn’t matter what your background is. (Hell Cosi from SAFM used to be a pig farmer!) You just need the passion to take the next step to find out whether you’ve got what it takes to crack a job in radio.
